Chris Bower graduated from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, in 1999 and completed the MFA in Writing program at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2005. Chris Bower’s fiction and poetry has appeared in GetUnderground, Annalemma, and The 2nd Hand. He has been awarded the Folger Adam J. Prize for Poetry and was the ficiton editor of the University of IL Montage Poetry and Fiction literary arts magazine. He founded and hosts the Ray's Tap Reading Series in Logan Square and hosts Chinaski's weekly literary open mic in Bucktown. Bower has produced at least one play a year since 2003; all productions written and directed by Chris Bower unless otherwise noted.
